It also offers excellent abrasion resistance. When you rip your fishing waders on the river or tear your wetsuit while diving through prickly corals, don't throw it away. Repair it with Aquaseal FD. It's also useful as a wader seam sealer. Don't let rips, tears, and holes stop you. Patch it up with the all-purpose Aquaseal FD and stay dry.
I bought a small tube of Aquaseal and have successfully repaired my Muck Boots, Teva sandles and a tear on one of my tractors tires. I loaned it to my farmer neighbor and she repaired her Muck Books. My son bought a tube and repaired his wife's Muck Boots and some other stuff. In between uses I froze the Aquaseal and ten thawed it out to use and it worked. That tube is empty so I bought another tube so I will be ready for future problems. All of our repairs have held under heavy use. Good stuff.
This stuff adheres tenaciously, yet stays flexible, and once saved a 5 day fishing trip for me. But don't plan on using it again once you open the tube, as no matter how well you clean the opening of the tube after you open it the lid will be glued firmly shut next time you try to open it, and if it's been long enough the contents of the tube will have completely solidified. ...So it's best to always keep a fresh, unopened tube handy. Also keep in mind this stuff takes overnight to cure. The quality of he repair is worth the wait, however.
My beloved Lacrosse hunting boots finally showed their age and extreme useage. They developed holes and cracks. I cleaned the boots thoroughly and then applied this goopy product with a swab. Initially, it dries shinny but several hours later, it turns dull and almost invisible. I took my newly repaired boots on a very tough hunt and couldn't have been more impressed with the repairs. This stuff is great. One note of caution: put the tube in the freezer after you open it. Otherwise, it will dry out. Great product. I'm thrilled my boots will be joining me for another season.
This stuff is a game-changer! Repair gum boots, waders, worn down soles, almost anything! I used it to fix a plastic watering can and bucket that had cracked. I recommend using at least an N-95 mask AND doing it in a well-ventilated area (like outside) as the fumes are a bit noxious. If using to repair worn soles, do like the instructions and use tape around the heel to keep it from dripping...it's very hard to keep tennis shoes level upside down! Store in the freezer to keep it fresh. Amazing product, Washington state company!
This should be in every outdoor lifestyle tool kit
Can repair foot-gear, waders, rain gear, and a leaky tent. It will stick almost anything together. In a real pinch will close a wound, and can even be used to start a fire....Great product with endless uses.
I applied the product as directed to the slightly seeping seams on the neoprene feet of my breathable waders. I did this on a warm day in the sun because the product is very viscous and I had hoped that the warmth would get it to flow and soak in to the neoprene. after 24 hours, I performed a leak test, and the waders are still leaking in the same places. I do not recommend this product for this application.
This glue is just how they advertised it. My nylon waders ripped and this glue was able to fix it. This is definitely a must buy especially for outdoors people that use waders and overall rubber/nylon products.
