Great value, good quality, and easy to use GPS watch
I have had the watch for only a month or so now but have used it 3-4 times a week - trail running, mountain biking, and road cycling. So far I have had zero issues with GPS signals. The data is accurate (mileage, elevation gain, GPS track, etc.) and I have used it in some wilderness areas as well as other remote forest and mountain locations. The watch is easy to use and not over loaded with unnecessary features.
Does not have a lot of bells and whistles but has the features that I wanted (e,g, distance, pace, and HR). The GPS, steps calculation, and heart rate monitor appear to be accurate and consistent day-to-day. The screen is large enough to see without reading glasses, which is important for me when running.
The product was just as the pictures that were posted. This is my first Garmin watch and I absolutely love it. It's easy to use too! The tracking features are accurate for all my workouts, runs and walks!
I like the Forerunner 45 so far, I have more to learn about this watch. But right now it is giving me good feedback on workouts and on stress/bloodpresure.I bought a reconditioned watch which looks like brand new. I am exploring the sleep funtion now and find it interesting.More to learn with a great motivational tool.
A great price for a Garmin watch. The 45 is light and not bulky like the older ones. This refurb, however, comes with GPS set to OFF so it relies on pedometer to track distance which may or may not be as accurate. So make sure you know how to put that setting to auto when doing your exercises. Buttons take.getting used to. There are 5. Some stuff that the app comes with is nonsense, like body energy and stress measurement. Otherwise as a run tracker, lap counter and all that it's very nice. Power charging is about every 3 days I find if you actually use the GPS and HR for your runs. I turn that stuff off when done.
Huge improvement over the [already great] Vivoactive.
It has all the basic features I look for in a runners' watch: Large easy to read numbers; Heart rate monitor; and complete data compiled and displayed on a map of your run. Very comfortable, hard to beat at this price.
Product arrived in a nicely packaged box and was in pristine condition. There's a slight learning curve but I love it - it's made a difference with my running practices. The watch is easily seen even in bright sunny conditions. The GPS kicks in relatively quickly after turning it on. I love how it gives critical information such as length, time, pace per mile, etc. It syncs nicely with my IPhone. Much better than the Forerunner 35 in my opinion.
This is my third Garmin watch. Compared to the older Garmins here are the advantages of this garmin: 1. Lighter 2. Smaller face 3. Picks up GPS signal quicker 4. syncs to your phone 5. provides pulse (without a chest strap) and VO2 Max estimate 6. with Garmin Connect provides GPS map of route Why not 5 stars? Cons of watch 1. limited battery life. Running each day about 6 miles...I find after three days the Garmin needs to be recharged. I did purchase this item used so perhaps a new watch would have longer battery life Overall - a great buy refurbished at $100.
