Love my Dyson

Awesome!
Bought for my wife as our older Dyson was on its last leg.. thing was just about brand new when we opened the box, just wasn’t in a Dyson box.. we’ve been using for a week now and this thing runs circles around our old one… the suction is incredible and picks up most everything with just one pass.. Great Deal!
This is our second Dyson and like the first one, it has functioned superbly. The cord length is more than adequate and it has not problems changing from rugs to wooden flooring. It picks up everything in its path and the canister is easy to empty. Not sure about the refurb
Immediately put it together for a trial run. The head wasn't exactly perpendicular to the body, so I took a look. The clip that connects head to body wasn't put in correctly during the refurb so I fixed that. Then a small hose running from head to body fell out on the floor. That took a few attempts to fix and I can only hope it is right. I then vacuumed about 900 sq. ft. of what I consider normal, average carpet. By the way, we have a black lab, which is listed as a 'Top Ten Shedder'. That is pile #1 in the attached photo. Then I took our 6 year old Bissel Powerforce Helix and vacuumed the same area, pile #2. It pulled up only slightly less than the Dyson. For grins, I used the Dyson again and produced pile #3. Some have complained they can't use a Dyson because the suction is so great they can't push it on their carpet. I found the Dyson much easier to push than the Bissel, so does that mean the Bissel has more suction than the Dyson? That, plus the clip and small hose, makes me wonder if this was properly refurbed. What does Dyson have to say?

Great Dyson Option
This is my 2nd dyson vacuum. (My older one needed a part no longer available). I was happy to find this model as certified refurbished on the dyson ebay site. While smaller than my older dyson, it works very effectively. It arrived safely and quickly. This vacuum looks all shiny and new, works really well, and for a much lower price. The dyson has a very powerful suction and I was not able to use it on my thin area rug. I did however use one of the attachments on the rug and it worked great. The issue I have with dyson is that the instruction booklet is just pictures and no actual instructions so it took me a bit to figure it out. The vacuum has a lot of suction power and works great. Good and bad on Dyson
I was very excited to get my dyson. Positives: Easy to put together Easy to empty, Works well on bare floors BUT Negative on this model Suction is too strong on my carpets and can’t push it. I have to continually pull back to break suction so I could move it at all. I left message on dyson customer support but never got a call back.
