The Outdoor Floodlight/Surveillance Camera To Purchase!
This eufy 2K Floodlight/Surveillance Camera performs much better than expected. The videos/photos it takes are really clear and detailed (day and night). The LED lighting that is given off by this floodlight is comparable to my old 250W halogen floodlight that it replaced above my garage (around 17 feet high). It is mounted to a wall instead of an eave. Because of its height on the garage, instead of a 90-degree bend from the wall, the Floodlight/Surveillance Camera has an additional adjustment beyond to 110-degrees (I believe) from its wall mount, so now it points toward my driveway more. Otherwise, I was getting motion/traffic alerts on the road (beyond the driveway, even with the "Detection range" being low) instead of limiting the motion alerts to just being in the driveway or closer. This is really a well though-out feature for those higher places of mounting. I did not have the option to mount it to a round electrical box as was suggested by the installation instructions/manufacture. The electrical box that I have above the garage is a rectangular box (about 4.5" W x 2"H). It is encased with brick around it, and I used that to mount it to instead, with no issues. The weight of this Floodlight/Surveillance Camera is around 4.5 pounds, by the way. The rear of the Floodlight/Surveillance Camera mount includes a nice softer material to be placed against the brick/electrical box to act as a seal. The phone APP (on my Android) is really stable, and I have not had any issues with it whatsoever. The camera detects humans (determined by the "AI" feature of the camera) well and tracks them automatically while in the camera's sight. ALL motion can be detected by it also. This was a very good purchase from eufy. If you need a Floodlight/Surveillance Camera, this is the one to get.
