Pros....makes square cubes fast n quick. Have to play with the settings so you dont get a brick. few moving parts. Mainly the pump. Cons...Its small doesnt hold 33lbs of ice but more like ten pounds. I am measuring it up against ten pound and five pound bags of ice. Its short. Even with the feet screwed on our resident dwarf who has to stand on a milk crate to open doors has to stoop to get to the ice. We elevated it a foot an a half higher. To get the 100 pounds daily you best have a chest freezer next to it. And plenty of bags to put ice in. IF not the ice with hang on the flap bridge and it will stop making ice till it melts most of the box and restarts. The book is a multi unit book and barely covers said units function. Trail and error on programming All in all it is great for a small office or workshop with a meduim demand for ice.
Its a good little machine for the money. You have to prime it first but then its off to the races. Keep the temp at 7 or 8 for best ice.The downside is it wastes a lot of water in the drainage.I have a 5gallon jug on mine bought a small pump an 5 gallon bucket with lid now pump overflow back into jug problem solved.
For a low budget machine it's a fair trade , If you want more spend more $$$
This machine is a decent low budget ice maker .. I would recommend it for residential use or lite commercial … It's not as well constructed as some of the professional grade machines like Manitowoc or Viking and KitchenAid that can cost over $2K... But for under $400 it dose a decent job and makes nice cubes .. Someday if it ever needs a part replaced it may take some research since it is an off brand .. But for the price I decided to take a chance .
Wow had it for 6 months and works great. Saved lotsa money on bag ice plus didn't have haul it in and find a place to keep it. This really is a great machine not too hard to clean makes so much we never run out. Would highly recommend for any household that uses ice. Plus you can save some ahead in my chest freezer for parties and cookouts. Price not that high when you have used it for a while probably saved half the price of it in bag ice over the last 6 months.
Makes at least 90-100 lbs per 24 hours. Instructions are not good. Setting is actually from (-8) for 5 min ice to (8) for 25 min ice cycle. Longer cycle makes thicker ice. Pour cold water in the reservoir for first cycle, then turn on water source. I might get higher yield on lower settings, I have only tried (0) to (4). ALSO the reservoir drain plug pulls down from the bottom of the water reservoir, below the thin blue catch tab which can be seen inside the reservoir on the right side. Only drain reservoir when you have finished making ice, or after cleaning cycle.
Don't buy! This only holds maybe 5lbs of ice if that. Couldn't tell you cause it never worked to get ice in it either. But I do know it DOESNT hold 20lbs for sure, as they described. Communication of delayed and diverted answers when I was asking to return. They delayed just enough to get passed the return policy date. So trying to stick me with a machine that doesn't work. Don't recommend. Don't use for any product they sell.
it is not great but if you baby sit it you can get 20 lbs. of ice in it .
not as big as I though it only holds about 20 lbs. of ice . You have to clear the safety stop every few hours or it will stop making ice .It is not a great design.I have only had it a few weeks so we will see how it holds up .It works but not optimal .
So I decided to purchase a ice machine that's not one of the name brands like Scotsman, Hoshizaki, Manitowoc. I install and service refrigeration equipment and the cheapest unit that I can buy new from my dealers is just under 1500.00. This unit is perfect, makes ice with ease and fast. The controls are easy and informative, unit is light and fits perfect where my dishwasher use to be. I cant comment about the longevity, but just from looking at all the parts and assembly the unit is built fairly solid.
It says its under the counter ice maker but it drains out the very bottom and uses gravity to drain. So how is it suppose to drain down if its already on the ground? Its very misleading. Also says its 90lb ice maker. Still trying to figure out whats 90lbs. The ice bin is only big enough to hold about 3lbs of ice and it takes 20min to make about 8 small cubes of ice. Theres no way it can make 90lbs in 1 day.
Love how a 12+' shrinking down for easy carrying and storage. When opened full length it seems to be a little sway in it when up against a building, but from even some of the more expensive ladders, this had been mentioned. Not a problem it is quite sturdy and safe and will hold up to a lot of weight. One feature of it is the gap between steps in order not to catch your finger. Very important due to the way the ladder collapses on itself. From reading reviews on other ladders, this is not always the way they are constructed. This ladder is perfect.
