The only fitness smart watch you should look at this summer
The price point is a little steep, but well worth all the features. The sapphire hardened face is very durable, and the body is equally sturdy. The watch has a good weight, making it feel substantial in your hands, but doesn't feel disproportionate when worn on your wrist while running. The Connect app is very intuitive, colorful, and provides a lot of valuable metrics on your daily activities and fitness. Garmin Express, the computer application to upload music, leave something to be desired in it's method of music uploads... you have to have the music loaded into iTunes in order for it to pick up the files. Otherwise, no issues with the computer-side software. One features I wish Garmin would introduce is the ability to send waypoints to your watch from your phone's application. There are a few 3rd party applications that attempt to do this -- but they are clunky at best. If you have wireless headphones and wear this on your left wrist (as I do), you might have a bit of transmission difficulties with the bluetooth if the headphone receiver is located on the right ear bud (I use bose soundsport free... I only get connectivity issues when I hold my watch at my left side arm extended... maximum distance away from the BT receiver). But while running there are no cut-outs or loss of quality. For the outdoors sports or fitness enthusiast, this watch comes highly recommended from me. The essential features (GPS, garmin pay, music) work flawlessly.. and there are tons more features that I haven't quite worked out as yet but that's part of the fun of getting a new product.
Another amazing Garmin product that adds more features than the Fenix 5 and has the same incredible battery life. It's a stylish watch and very comfortable to wear.
It's extremely early, but this watch checks a lot of boxes. I'm looking forward to using some of the more advanced features soon. For a refurbished watch, it looks and operates like new.
Great watch, still figuring out all it can do. I'm not an apple or techy guy, so didn't need a lot of fancy stuff. I wanted to keep track of my workouts and my hikes/backpacking adventures. This watch has the capability to do both and very customizable. The price was great as well. Very satisfied and enjoying it.
I had a Fenix 3 previously and enjoyed it. This is a leap forward. The face is much more reasonably sized. Have had minimal problems with any data collection or connectivity. Data is plentiful and accurate. It even provides training recommendations based on your data. Lightweight and strong. Sleek and beautiful. The battery lasts six days fully engaged.
I have a Vivoactive3 and decided to upgrade to the Fenix6. No regrets as this watch is far more durable, better built and more functions. I prefer not having the touch screen due to inadvertent changes to watch screen. Golf functions are far superior but does take time to learn and use. Battery life is excellent lasting 14 days in normal watch use mode. You do need to download map function using Garmin Express. It takes a while but it’s essential.
This watch does it all. I've used on expeditions, hikes, bikes, sleep, keeping me on schedule during the day.. you name it. No joke this is a great product and exceeds my expectations.
I purchased for windsurfing and SUP applications. So far the windsurfing application is great. Buttons instead of touch screen it necessary for water applications. The watch looks great. It reads great in bright sunlight - something that I was worried about. It doesn't read so great indoors but I think I can increase the back light intensity if necessary. Battery lasts for ages. Watch does not feel heavy
Just Google this story "Freezing Navy EA-18G Crew In Ice Filled Cockpit Navigated Home Using Their Smart Watches". The pilot used his Garmin Fenix 3 to navigate and land the aircraft when everything else failed. I have got Fenix 6!
