Phone Itself Is Good But Seller May Have Used A Compromised Android Build
I've had this phone since the middle of December and it has held up better that what reports have said. There is a crease down the middle of the screen when you fold it open but that is to be expected as the thing is mostly closed. When I received the device it was unlocked and ready to be rooted, the build on the device was something custom. I should have known better and should have closed the bootloaders and flashed Google's vanilla build. It may have been coincidence but after I logged-in to my Google account, before flashing Google's provided build, I start to receive more spam calls than before I got the phone. Other than that, phone has been working fine and when I do use the "tablet" mode it work flawlessly in transitioning between the folded and unfolded states; also helps that I got this a a quarter of the retail price. We'll see how it holds up before for the duration of the 1 year warranty I have for it as a perk for it being a refurbished unit.
Used Pixel Fold [1st gen], so battery life somewhat short, but so far getting thru each day even using dbl-screen. what's disappointed me so far is Google's speaker volume; way lower than previsous Pixel 4a 5G. installed speaker amp apps, no help. other than speaker volume, great phone choice.
This would’ve been a great product but is rendered unusable as the system has controls over the whole phone along with active monitoring on my location, active monitoring on my camera, screen, and not being able install any apps or customize my phone in away. The physical phone showed little signs of wear and tear but was acceptable in looks and function. I wasn’t able to get it off since it stated that the only way to be to unregister it from the system would be to get in touch the past owner.
