I have not tested this saw on trees but I suspect at 18 volt it will not be as powerful as higher voltage options but I already have Milwaukee battery equipment so it was an easy choice. The saw looks and operates well but does not run as strong as gas options.
I haven’t cut any lumber with it yet, but after I assembled it, charged the battery and pressed the trigger, everything seems to be working perfectly. I’ve only owned gas powered Stihl’s before, but my wife wanted a small electric chainsaw to do some occasional pruning and she didn’t want to go through the difficulties with starting them.
Awesome saw, really powerful, a joy to use. I have 2 of these, used to have 3 gas powered saws, now only 1 and it has not been run in years. Highly recommended.
Seems like a good saw but the new fully charged 8 amp battery only lasted a few minutes. Same with a new fully charged 6 amp battery Cuts good but overheats the batteries quickly
