The speed and performance of the new Raspberry Pi 4 is a step up from earlier models. We're making different variants of the Raspberry Pi 4 available, depending on how much RAM you need — 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, or 8GB.
Raspberry Pi's are great for what they can do. Basically a full featured computer running Linux in the palm of your hand. These were used but included POE hats. I'm very happy with the purchase. They are running now and are purring away.
All eight units are part of a cell computer. I am modifying the entire set up to use POE ethernet. Extra Fans are being used and a mix of the heat sinks are placed an every chip I can see. Kubernetes and more will complete the software needs. A POE Hub will provide all power and I have a Raspberry Pi CM4 computer for a head unit. The 'Eightcell' will be headless. I am still collecting the components to complete the build because the POE Hats are making for minor problems, but I am over coming these problems. I plan on using VPN and extra security to finally and completely secure my home network. I included a picture of a single cell. I don't want to modify the SBC, or the HAT, so I plan to cut new separators for six of the eight cells because I need the Plexi to clear the 40 pin and 4 pin connections.
This is my 6th Raspberry Pi...had the 1, the 2Bs, several 3bs and now the 4b with 4gb Ram....just absolutely love them....use them all over my projects and the house...for info centers, ADSB antennas, Music/video center and just generally for learning and staying updated. The 4b with 4gb Ram is as fast as my good old laptop...just incredible.....Just absolutely love them and the price is just so nice that you buy the latest one, every time they come out, not like an iPhone that costs $1000 every time. I hope we have them around for many years to come, just a wonderful product....thank you British Government for pushing this project forward and having such a wonderful product enter the world...
Raspberry PI 4 4GB -- Excellent single-board machine.
Excellent device for a few projects I am working on with my home network. This is the second one I bought. The first one I made a Linux file server on it which is also backing up a NAS I have on my network, too.
Raspebeery Pi 4, 4 gig. i have some on ordered that were new, but i needed a couple for a project. these were used but no apparent issues with them upon inspection and test. Great product and shipped well.
Purchased this as a platform for my audio streamer. Works great and the improved USB performance really shine over the Pi3. I have since purchased a SPDIF HAT as a further upgrade and there's virtually no difference in sound quality! Now, if only the software where as refined.....
Performs as expected. Unexpected bonus is that it has WiFi. I didn't originally know that - yay! Great device for he price and unlimited possibilities on what I can do with it!
