Shimano IX reels
I own several of these reels and use them almost every day. They have a smooth action, accessable rear drag and the quick fire mechanism makes them a joy to use. Shimano reel
Love those old Shimano reels. The quick fire lever and top center return are great. Shimano was the first I know of to offer it, now it's pretty common. The rear drag is great, and not so common. Try it once and you'll love it. The "Fightin' Drag" is nice too if you can get it. Okuma is also a good reel, but nothing beats the old style Shimano. Shimano lx2000R Spinning reel
I purchased this Shimano lx2000R Spinning reel and it worked flawlessly right out of the box. I have fished for more than 30 years and this reel works as good as others that cost many times more. Great size great reel

Can't go wrong with Shimano - Cheap Price / Great Reel

Quick Fire Reel
Nothing like the classic quick fire bail trigger. I’ve had Shimano’s since I was 15. I just turned 50 and still love them. Best reels on the market in my opinion.
