Exactly the glasses I was looking for! These are the larger Wayfarer Rayban sunglasses. (For some of you ladies out there, these are the ones Taylor Swift wears) I was worried the green lens would look green when I was wearing them, but it really looks pretty dark when they are on and doesn't effect the appearance of the sunglasses. I received the black RayBans case with these and the cleaning cloth. The sunglasses fit perfectly and easily into the case and the case is easy to snap shut. The size of the case is also great because it's much slimmer than previous cases I've had, but it's still so sturdy that I feel like my sunglasses are being protected.
Nice glasses, but a little different from my old Wayfarers
These are nice glasses, but slightly different from my older 2140 Wayfarers. The frames and lenses are a little more upright and a little less rakish. Also, the arms are not quite as curved as my older pair. While this is different, these actually fit me nicer because they don't sit on my cheeks like my older pair. I like them and would recommend these sun glasses to friends looking for a lower cost "genuine" Ray Ban Wayfarer.
I really like the original Wayfarer shape. The quality is noticeably better than most of what you can buy today. The size is always a question. The fact is, that the 50 mm size is what you want unless your head is huge. Now that doesn't mean that you don't need a 55 mm size. What it means is that the "original" shape looks good in a 50 mm size, but not so much in a 55 mm size. If you need the 55 mm size and don't have an absolutely enormous head, check out the new wayfarer. The shape is more flattering in the larger size.
The glasses were less then 2 weeks old when the "RayBan" emblazon fell off the side piece. Seems over the years that i have purchased numerous (12 pairs) Ray-Bans that has never happened so thus I question the quality and or the distributor for miss handling and or poor packaging.
I love these glasses. They were a little big but able to get the arms steamed and curved more to fit. Any place that sells ray bans and has a steamer will do it for free. The colors change on how the light hits them.
