The computer in itself works fine, apart from the fact, that if you attach a USB memory stick, the computer will stall, meaning you need to remove the memory stick and restart the computer, to proceed. We also had a hard time, finding a memory card, that worked with the PI: We tried several solutions with no result so we ended up buying an original PI micro SD-card. The programming tool Scratch for Raspberry PI is not working as good as the one for ordinary PC's. Considering the price, it is a fine computer, I think.
A great tool to experiment with! Even smaller than it seems in the pictures. But of course the most relevant feature is the very low price, affordable also for amateurs that just wanted to toy with it for fun. Thanks raspberry pi foundation!
My first exposure to this diminutive computer is very positive. I have run Raspbian and Ubuntu on this board. Both are good Linux platforms but Ubuntu is a tad slow given that it is not optimized for this Linux version. Raspbian (Debian) might be the best choice for GP use. Small form factor, low power consumption, built-in wireless + bluetooth, and good performance are the trademarks of the Raspberry Pi 3. Highly recommend for embedded or even some desktop applications.
Installation of CODI was without any problems and I was surprised with speed. I had R Pi 1 before so I can compare to new one. All in one, I am very satisfied with RPi2
